Championship Vehicle Regulations

Our Vehicle regulations are designed to make this entry level racing event accessible to as many people as possible, whilst making sure to keep all those involved safe. All cars will be checked the morning of the event. Any vehicles not meeting our basic regulations will not be allowed to compete on the day.

Vehicle Classification
Class 1 – Junior A (under 17) – Engines up to 1400cc FWD or RWD accepted
Class 2 – Junior Drivers (under 17) – Engines from 1401cc – 2000cc FWD OR RWD accepted
Class 3 – MR2 Challenge Class
Class 4 – FWD up to 2000cc (will be split into an up to 1400cc class and 1401-200cc if numbers permit)
Class 5 -RWD up to 2000cc (will be split into an up to 1400cc class and 1401-200cc if numbers permit)
Class 6 -Modified cars 2001cc upwards FWD & RWD

Points
Points will only be awarded to the top 5 in each class. Each drivers best score from 6 rounds will be counted. This means a driver can miss one round and still be in contention for a win.
1st – 10pts
2nd – 7pts
3rd – 4pts
4th – 1pts

Car Regulations

  • All cars must be in a safe driveable condition, leaking no fluids
  • All cars must be fitted with an exhaust system that has at least one silencer box, exiting the car behind the rear axle
  • All cars must pass a sound level check pre event
  • All cars must be fitted with a minimum of a 4 point roll bar, 6 point cages are recommended
  • All cars must have fixed bucket seats & 4 or 6 point racing harnesses in good condition
  • All cars must carry a hand held extinguisher of at least 1kg in size. 50sec firesticks are also permitted
  • Gravel or race tyres are permitted
  • All car batteries must have a wrap around clamp or mount
  • Soft top vehicles must keep their roof up whilst on track
  • Glass windows are permitted but must be kept up whilst on track
  • All vehicles must have all factory bumpers and panels fitted securely.
  • All drivers will be assigned a number for each event.

Drivers

  • Drivers under 17 must be accompanied in the vehicle by a passenger over 18
  • All drivers must wear a helmet whilst on track. Helmets will be checked on the day. Any deemed unfit for use wont be permitted. Race helmets will be available for rent on the day
  • All drivers and passengers must sign on the morning of the event.
  • Passengers can be carried during the day, but must be signed on and wearing the relevant wrist band
